christian dior @ paris fashion week

Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2010 collection embodies luxury, elegance and sexiness. I came across some of these images and absolutely fell in love with the collection which uses lingerie as outerwear or “semi-undressed allure” as termed by John Galliano.

The tantalizing flowy styles are created in dreamy colors that inspire the imagination. Sheer fabrics are a mainstay and also definitely looking to be a trend in 2010.

The collection pairs classic items like stylish jackets with babydolls and short skirts that most would not step out of the bedroom in. The trench coats in this collection come in a variety of fabrics and are absolutely to-die-for. Lingerie pieces are displayed somewhat unusually beneath sheer fabrics and outer layers. Dresses are designed in rainbow colored chiffon with lovely patterns, combined with corset bodices and flowing draped skirts.

All in all this collection is fully feminine and wonderfully sophisticated. It walks the fine line between lingerie and outside wear in a beautifully modest fashion. In fact, I think many real women would actually rock this trend! Would you? Perhaps in a slightly more understated style?
